Ever since I was little, I’ve always wanted to learn to play a musical instrument. Any instrument would do because I was just curious back then and fascinated by how such beautiful sounds could be made from different kinds of instruments. I guess that it was just the little child in me and that my fancy was simply caught, but then again I’m also thankful that I did. If I didn’t then I would not have been able to find and learn such a wonderful capability, and that is to make some music with the violin.

The first instruments that I tried to learn were probably the piano and the guitar. Those are the more conventional types of musical instruments, so it was inevitable that I would play one or both them early on. As I good to be more familiar with playing them, I also wanted to be more involved in music. In other words, I was hooked to music and have decided, at a very early age, that it is the career that I would want to pursue. So off I went and chased my dream of being a musician and after several years of studying I found that I wanted how to play the violin. I thought that learning violin will be my real calling in music.

The violin was a challenge at first. It was a member of the violin family of musical instruments. It is the smallest of that group, after the cello, and the viola. The violin occupies a lofty place in music, especially in orchestral music. In such performances, the violin group is usually the most numerous, almost dominating the entire orchestra. When I finally did shift to playing the violin, I didn’t really it as easy as I thought. There were difficult moments for me and as I went along I came to understand that to
learn violin is not for everyone. I thought it was definitely for me however, and before long I learned and became quite adept at it.
